The Silver Fern -
home to a thousand idiots, and growing all the time!
OK, so a bit unfair,
not all idiots, and growing more like a Kauri tree, slow and steady, but, in the words of
one of our more 'famous' forum members, I digress...
The Silver Fern started, and still is, a fan driven Kiwi sports website.
For up to date information (sometimes) on rugby, rugby, or rugby, and
occasionally other sports that Kiwis are doing well in, it is the place to go.
There is a small crew of dedicated writers, who are still waiting for their
first pay check, and write about as regularly as Editor in Chief BartMan
promises he has sent the same checks...
Growing from the Silver Fern, is an active forum. A place where a Kiwi on
his, or her OE can log in and get a feel of home, and find out what is happening
around the traps, on and off the sports field. The forum is not a Kiwi only
zone though, and in part has been taken over by many 'foreigners'. There
is a happy smattering (not so happy about the rugby these days, but cricket,
don't ask) of Shackle-draggers, Boers, Poms, Taffs, Paddies, Jocks, Frogs, even
through to an Irish Frenchman, or a French Irishman, no one is sure...
But this is all good, as it is great to get opinions on what is
happening from the 'enemy'!

I appear to still be digressing, regardless, that is a quick history of the
Fern, and how it started, and where it is going.
So, from all this, came the tee shirts, and sweat shirts, that you see for sale
on this website today...
